The Partnering Group is pleased to announce that Danny Silverman has joined the firm as a Partner in the Digital Commerce Practice where his focus will be on Digital Commerce, Marketing, and General Management. Danny brings more than two decades of expertise as a global business leader and eCommerce executive, with experience delivering scalable and sustainable growth for brands, agencies, and tech start-ups. He has worked with hundreds of global manufacturers, helping them grow sales and share, and is a noted speaker and industry thought leader.
Danny joins The Partnering Group from Ascential, where, most recently, he was General Manager of Spotlight, a division of Flywheel Digital. There he grew his team from 10 to 70+, and revenues 10x over three years. Prior to Spotlight, Danny was Chief Marketing Officer at Edge by Ascential, where he launched the Edge brand and led the Marketing integration of Clavis, One Click Retail, Brandview, and Planet Retail RNG.
He joined Ascential via the acquisition of Clavis Insight. Prior to the acquisition, Danny held various roles, including building global Professional Services and Customer Success teams, developing executive customer engagement strategies including Customer Advisory Boards, and leading customer UI/UX research that informed the Clavis 3.0 platform. He then overhauled Clavis’ Marketing strategy, positioning, and messaging as CMO, ultimately contributing to a successful exit and acquisition at an 8x valuation.
Prior to Clavis, Danny was VP of Consulting and Sales at Etailing Solutions (later acquired by Epsilon / Publicis), one of the first eCommerce agencies of its kind, working with other blue chip CPGs to help set up their eCommerce initiatives.
Prior to Etailing Solutions, Danny worked within Johnson & Johnson Consumer (now Kenvue). There, he held brand marketing and sales roles including opening Amazon for J&J in 2005, pioneering loyalty marketing for J&J on the CVS team, and ultimately creating and leading a new, strategic e-commerce team, where he called on Amazon globally and established a joint strategic partnership and investment P&L.
Danny has a BA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
