On Friday, Sept 28, TPG Partner Louise Yerian will be speaking at the Category Management Association’s annual conference in San Antonio, TX on the topic of “Department Reinvention – achieving growth with macro space optimization”. In pursuit of delivering positive store comps and satisfying the wants and needs of their loyal shopper base, retailers of all types – grocery, mass, drug, specialty – are examining their store footprint with scrutiny. Decisions are being made to expand, maintain, or contract space allocation of categories and whole departments in order to optimize the performance of their store to maximize sales, profit, and in-stock positions. Louise will discuss the macro space process, highlight enabler tools retailers are using to inform decisions, and what the impact may be to your category.
